Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 Cabbage

  • 1 cup of rice

  • 1 lbs of ground beef

  • 1/2 stick of butter

  • 1 whole head of garlic

  • 5-6 lemons 

  • dried mint

  • salt, pepper, & red (sweet or hot) pepper

 

How-To:

  1. Boil the cabbage in a large pot for 30-45 min

  2. Take out of pot & let it cool

  3. Mix 1 cup of rice, ground beef, salt & pepper, Red pepper & melted butter

  4. After cabbage cools, peel its layers, the top couple put at bottom of pot (as a base), then cut the hard center out and again in the middle as in picture above

  5. Stuff rice & beef & roll like in picture above

  6. Stack in the pot & add 3-4 cups of water to cover all stuffed cabbages

  7. Peel & add the whole head of garlic & salt to taste

  8. After water boils, bring to medium low heat for 30-45 minutes

  9. Add Lemon Juice & Dried mint 

  10. Turn heat off and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving
